At Agadir Ballooning Adventures, your safety is our top priority and primary responsibility. We are committed to flying only in safe and favorable conditions. If the weather is unsuitable, we will not proceed with the flight. Taking off in poor conditions compromises both safety and the enjoyment of the experience. With over 10 years of flying experience and a team of four skilled commercial pilots, we have the expertise and knowledge to make the best decisions for your safety and satisfaction.
Hot air balloons offer two types of experiences: free flight and tethered operations.
- Free Flight involves the balloon taking off and traveling from point A to point B, guided by the wind. This requires a high level of skill, as pilots must read wind patterns to select a suitable launch site, plan the flight path, and most importantly, choose a safe landing area.
- Tethered Ballooning keeps the balloon tied to ground anchors, allowing it to ascend and descend without drifting. This is perfect for events or static displays where the balloon remains grounded.

The team : training and experience
Our pilots are highly trained professionals who graduated from specialized flight schools as certified “pilots in command.” With thousands of hours of flight experience in hot air balloons and other aircraft, they are fully qualified to operate both commercial and private passenger flights. Our multilingual team speaks English, Spanish, Catalan, and French, ensuring clear communication and an enhanced experience for international guests. Notably, we are the only hot air balloon operator in Agadir to have an international instructor as part of our team.
We are proud participants in both national and international hot air balloon competitions. One of our company’s founders, who is also a pilot, holds the prestigious title of current French Champion and ranks Nº1 in the national standings. His impressive achievements include securing 4th place in the World Hot Air Balloon Championship.
Our dedicated “chase crew team” is expertly trained to assist pilots in the preparation process, communicate effectively with passengers, and follow the balloon by car during flights. Each member has received comprehensive training in emergency management and first aid procedures, ensuring maximum professionalism and safety for every journey. With us, your adventure is in the hands of passionate and experienced experts.
Equipment : control and maintenance
A hot air balloon is classified as an aircraft, and as such, we adhere to a rigorous maintenance program in line with manufacturer specifications and the requirements of the local aviation safety agency. Before each flight, our pilots conduct a thorough inspection of the balloon and its equipment to ensure optimal safety and performance.

To ensure a safe and enjoyable hot air balloon experience, here are some quick tips:
Before the Flight
- Clothing: Wear sporty clothes and sturdy shoes suitable for early mornings and muddy fields. The temperature stays consistent during the flight.
- Eligibility: Open to everyone aged 6 and above. Not recommended for pregnant women or those with fragile bones. Passengers should be in good health.
- Weather: Flights are weather-dependent. If conditions are unsafe, we will reschedule.
During the Flight
- Briefing: The pilot will explain safety instructions before takeoff—listen carefully and ask questions if needed.
- Vertigo: You won’t feel vertigo since the balloon isn’t connected to the ground. Enjoy the ride!

Such incidents are extremely rare. Balloons fly slowly, and birds typically avoid them. Even in the unlikely event of contact, our balloons are made from durable materials designed to handle minor impacts without compromising safety.
At Agadir Ballooning Adventure, inflating the balloon takes about 20-30 minutes, while deflating and packing it up takes around 15-20 minutes, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for our guests.
